We Are Inclusive

Working Hours and Flexible Working
Our full-time employees are contracted to work 35 hours per week. We offer a range of flexible working patterns where possible to assist with a work/life balance and welcome applications from people wishing to work on a part-time or job share basis. We also operate a flextime scheme that allows you to alter your start and finish times and take hours back that you have accrued. Most of our roles are available for hybrid working.

Investors In People
We demonstrate our commitment to the Investors in People standard by fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. We focus on continuous professional development, ensuring that employees are well supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. We prioritise staff wellbeing, psychological safety, flexible working practices, and nurture a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion. By investing in training, feedback, and transparent communication, we align with the values required to maintain this accreditation, showcasing our dedication to staff growth and organisational excellence.

Real Living Wage Committed Employer
As part of our dedication to fair and equitable treatment of employees we are committed to being a Real Living Wage employer. We ensure all staff receive a wage that reflects the true cost of living, beyond the statutory minimum. By adopting this standard, we support the wellbeing, motivation, and financial stability of our people, promoting an inclusive and positive work culture. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to social responsibility and fostering a supportive, sustainable working environment.

Disability Confident Committed Employer
At Ciarb, we are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and are committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible. As part of this commitment, we offer a guaranteed interview for disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
Disability Confident Scheme – Eligibility
To be considered under the Disability Confident Scheme, you must:
Meet at least three out of the five essential criteria listed in the job description. These criteria have been carefully selected by our hiring team to fairly assess all candidates.
Have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010, which includes physical or mental impairments that have a substantial and long-term impact on your ability to carry out day-to-day activities.
If you meet the above conditions, you will be guaranteed an interview. However, meeting the criteria does not guarantee a job offer, as selection will be based on performance at interview and any relevant assessments.
How to Apply Under the Scheme
If you wish to apply under the Disability Confident Scheme, please:
- Indicate this in your application by selecting “Yes” when asked.
- Ensure you demonstrate how you meet at least three of the five essential criteria in your covering letter (please refer to covering letter guidance)
- Be prepared to provide evidence of your disability if requested. This may include a letter from a medical professional or a relevant document confirming your condition.
Reasonable Adjustments
We are committed to providing adjustments to support disabled applicants throughout the recruitment process. If you require any reasonable adjustments for the interview or assessments, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your needs.
Confidentiality
Any information you provide regarding your disability will be treated with strict confidentiality and used only for the purpose of the recruitment process.
