Content Marketing Manager - Maternity Cover

POSITION OVERVIEW
You will help to raise Ciarb’s global profile and increase the level of engagement with its audiences by delivering the organisation’s content strategy. You will ensure a strong pipeline of content is delivered that meets the organisation’s members’ needs and its strategic aims. The role is accountable for the commissioning, editing, drafting, publishing, distribution and evaluation of content. To do this, you will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content marketing
You will:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate content in line with the content plan and strategy.
- Have an instinct for storytelling, commissioning and drafting content that will cut through and engage a broad range of audiences.
- Help to develop and manage relationships with journalists and media partners.
- Understand SEO, ensuring content is optimised.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Pro-actively research content ideas and potential contributors.
- Project-manage production of Resolver, the bi-monthly digital magazine. This includes liaising with our publishing supplier for the production of a special print edition for distribution at Ciarb event in Autumn 2025.
- Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is embedded in all aspects of content marketing.
- Take an interest in the macro-environment and how that may impact the organisation and its sector.
- Be astute and have excellent judgement.
- Work closely with the Policy team, ensuring that policy positions are reflected in the content plan and that communications support is provided to promote policy activities and outputs.
- Provide communications support to the Volunteering Strategy Manager as needed.
- Provide communications support to the Education and Training Reform project as needed.

You will:
- Play an active role in collating, reviewing, drafting and editing content for Ciarb’s website.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Degree level education or equivalent.
Desirable
- Evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in communications, PR, marketing or journalism.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience of content marketing, including experience of planning, delivering, tracking and reporting activity.
- Experience of planning, drafting, maintaining and evaluating website copy.
- Experience of working with (or within) digital media teams, including social media and SEO.
- Understanding of SEO and experience of optimising content.
- A track record of forging successful partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with excellent grammar and literacy.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of PR and/or media relations.
- Experience of producing corporate documents, for example annual reports.
- Experience of working within a membership organisation.
- Experience of producing print publications.

Salary: £40,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
